Seeds??????
Whilst perusing the Internet for help garnering more knowledge on the best book ever written. It is an auto biography no ghostwriter needed but ghost reader is needed. The Holy Ghost that is for it is stated that one can understand its meaning without Him.
Anywho... questioning Christs lineage, not in an "I do not believe it way "more of help me to understand it way. The whole cursed lineage thing. I came across a very knowledgeable person in Jewish tradition that told me that Christs mothers lineage was irrelevant to the Jews because it all comes through the seed of the man... Well in Bible study we were just discussing in Genesis 3(I think) where God refers to the seed of the woman. I said to this guy what about this?????no answer yet.

The Q D's
I am rich in daughters. I am happy to say that I do not think any mother adores her daughters more than I do...maybe as much but not more.
Mayo
I have spent the last two days in and out of the Mayo Clinic having a variety of tests done. My husband and I decided a complete check up would be our gift to each other. The first day went smooth. The Scottsdale clinic is staffed with helpful patient professionals and good service is found in the cafeteria and the Dr.s office alike. After your initial visit with an intern she/he comprised a laundry list of medical procedures/tests and you are sent to the scheduling area where some amazing people work the schedules out and hand you your "patient itinerary" telling you where to go and what to do to prepare you for whatever you are about to do. My husband and I eagerly perused ours and headed out with the excitement of getting your school schedule or Disneyland map. Strange I know but somehow we got caught up in the experience. We are here during a slow week but I got to say the place runs like a well oiled machine. It is clean and comfortable. Well anyway my dear husband opted for the immunization route and had a flu shot, pneumonia shot and tetanus. I thought about asking for the same but am glad I did not for about 8 hours later my husband got the chills and aches and has not felt good since and is now knocked out in bed with a 102 degree temp. Coincidence or not I do not know !
So today I spent the day at the clinic alone. My appointments were hours apart and I had no car so I stayed and got to know the place.
What I found.... the MRI machine with the crazy face mask was relaxing. I told the technician I thought I would not be able to do the test(I am prone to claustrophobia) she talked me through and showed me the vehicle and I said I'll try. I picked a Gospel CD for my listening pleasure. The origins of it I know not. And I will be dog gone if
the experience did not turn out to be quite worshipful and restful. I think I actually dosed off. I then went to the cafeteria where a man with an impish grin mans the short order grill and does it with charm and gusto. I enjoyed my first meal and coffee of the day as I gave thanks for the completion of my medical fast and enjoyed a delicious Denver omelet and potatoes and a good cup of Joe.
Then I wandered around and found a nice flat screen TV to watch and could tell right away that something horrible had happened and discovered the details of the assassination of the beautiful Pakistan opposition leader Bhutto. I watched it for awhile and felt sad but the continuous replay of the details mad me weary and a little room off to the side caught my eye. It was called something like the relaxation room and the lights were dim and there was a row of reclining chairs calling my name. As I walked in I saw another women resting in her chair with a pillow and blanket. Oh my that looked so comfy I saw a closet with a sign "Clean pillows and blankets.YES! I grabbed my clean pillow and blanket that smelled oh sooo very faintly of bleach and kicked back and rested a full two hours. In my mind I pictured this room as the counter part to a maternity nursery just filled with old people but there was a little window I fancied people looking in oohing and awing over us all bundled up in our nursery.
When I got up I went back to the cafeteria for some berry frozen yogurt and by the time I got to my next appointment my nurse was amazed as my blood pressure was awesome at 100 over some low number. The relaxation room is Mayos best kept secret! I go back tomorrow for more tests and a definite visit to the adult nursery.

For Christians Only
This is an internet Blog title Christ would NEVER use. His message of salvation is for everyone.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have everylasting life." John 3:16

Believe it or not
I think a good idea for a vacation Sunday School theme would be like a Ripley's believe it or not but it would be a Bible believe it or not. Because pretty much it comes down to that. Do you believe it or not?
Do you believe God loves you and cares about every aspect of your life? or not
Do you believe Jesus was God? or not
Do you believe Jesus God incarnate walked the earth? or not
Do you believe you need a Savior, all(mankind) have sinned ? or not
Do you believe Jesus, as God, walked the earth and lived a sinless life? or not
Do you believe that God in heaven can not accept our sin? or not
Do you believe the wages of sin is death? or not
Do you believe Jesus(God incarnate)after living a sinless death died on
the cross to pay the debt of your sin ? or not
Do you believe his death is capable of paying the debt of your sin? or not
Do you believe Jesus(God incarnate) died, was buried and rose
on the third day according to the scriptures? or not
Do you believe by trusting in Christs completed work on the cross you will be saved?
(because even the demons believe in Christ) or not
Do you believe? I do most of the time and when I have doubts I pray that the Lord would help me in my unbelief and he did/does/will do! Because most of us experience doubt.

pro aging
As a cancer survivor I have never liked the term anti-aging and have always said,"nononono I am pro-aging!" Even though I am a Christian the thought of leaving my 4 daughters and loving husband is not something I longed for. I want to age I pray to age. I must say though that I am an overachiever in this area and got wrinkles before any of my friends. I have tried creams and lotions and potions to no avail. I told my daughter on the road the other day," I no longer achieve to cover my wrinkles... I just decorate them." I have enjoyed that thought!
I love my parents
I am one of many 40 something year old who love their parents. I am so thankful that they persevered through many difficulties and their marriage and love stayed in tact. It would be ignorant to think their life was any easier or harder than mine. They just have a bit more character, a bit of a heart of service, and my sincere admiration and gratitude goes out to them, John and Kathryne Barbee.
Not even mentioning my father still has the build of his former Marine self and my mom can still turn heads because of her beauty! Both still learn and retain new knowledge on a daily basis. They are genius and they love their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
You say "So What!' your parents are the same way.
Well hallelujah(my mom would know how to spell that)
I am happy to be one of the millions that love their parents.

I am rich in daughters
I am listening to my daughter talk to my other daughter ,who is away at college, whilst the other daughter does her homework and my other daughter is out helping my husband . I am rich in daughters. Just not so rich in what colleges desire you pay them in... Money! (like Most).
If any one knows of a scholarship for families with 4 daughters. Let me know.
In the mean time I lift my heart in praise to the One who gave me these gals.

the center brick
In the immortal words of Gracie Lou "Lauran is the center brick".
I am happy we are built on The Corner Stone!
I am happy we are built on The Corner Stone!
How can it be you have never heard of one as fabulous as he
So I Google my Dads name and no references to him come up! I am thinking how can it be that this great man is not talked about all over the internet. There should be post about him and his interesting life and influence all over the place.
Could it be those whos life he touched are all gone or not computer saavy. Or is it we...those closest to him realize what an incredible man he is?
I am always happy to hear people drone on about there children because I think that is how it should be. Parents should be their childrens biggest fans and I am comforted and feel the world has hope when a parent coos over there child.
I now realize that that process is then properly completed when the child then realizes how awesome their parent is. I am (and have been for quite some time ) at that point.
I realize that my friends that are now in their 80's or 90's still refer to their parents quite often. That is the way it is . Hopefully when my children refer to me when they are in their 40's it will be with fondness.

hahahahahaha
I am pretty certain most people reading this have 2 blogs going. The current Blog and then one they started like 8 months ago they forgot about but accidentally discovered while trying to log back into present account and realized they could not remember their password or user name or pretty much any details regarding their sign in process. I know this is true because when I went to the help section they said "forgot password?' then underneath is said "forget user name too?" We are all alike . I love that about us.

The law of averages
It took me four tries to to get an acceptable blog address...you too? I knew that. It took me 2 tries to come up with a title...you too??? I knew that. I flush the toilet in rest stops with my feet... you too? I knew that. I kick myself for not buying gold(land, google stock, ect.,) 5 years or however many years ago...you too? I knew that. I am like so many others out there I have come to the conclusion that my averageness is above average...you too? I knew that.
